Step 2 · measure
Measure the track run, not the bed
- 01Draw a plan view
Mark the walls, bed, doors, lights, curtains and services. Label each track run A, B, C and so on.
- 02Measure each run in millimetres
Measure where the track will sit, wall to wall or between fixing points. Do not use the mattress width as the track length.
- 03Record ceiling and access constraints
Note the ceiling type, height, void access, sprinklers, lights, medical services and any IPS panels near the proposed track.
- 04Check the drawing before ordering
Enter the labelled runs in the matching configurator layout. For repeated bays or unusual rooms, send the plan for a second check.
Step 3 · fixing
Choose the fixing route before you price
Solid ceiling
For concrete or suitable timber, confirm the proposed fixing points with the responsible site team. Choose the ceiling-plate option when that matches the installation detail.

The visible grid is a finish, not proof of structure. Plan the support above the grid and confirm the fixing detail before ordering.

Do not assume the lining or removable panel is structural. Ask for a stand-off, backing or alternative fixing detail where required.

Choose the support level that fits the project
Self-install can suit a straightforward, accessible room where the fixing detail is known. Use the assisted route for multiple bays, live clinical spaces, difficult ceilings, service coordination or any layout you need checked.
