Installing bends and corners

Bends are factory-formed 90° aluminium corners welded into the track run during manufacture. They’re not a separate fitting you bolt on site — they arrive as part of the track.

Why factory-formed

  • The curtain glider runs through the bend at speed. Any join, ridge or rough weld snags.
  • Site-formed bends in aluminium crack at the heel.
  • HTM 66 pull-test compliance assumes a continuous extrusion through the corner.

What you’ll see

Your delivery arrives in lengths matched to the layout: one piece per side, joined either at the bend (continuous) or at a joining bar (spliced). The hanger nearest each bend is positioned 150–200 mm from the corner to support the load.

Custom angles

Almost all clinical work is 90°. If you genuinely need 45° or another angle — typically a paediatric ward or a refurb in a non-orthogonal building — we can do it as a special. Lead time adds 5 days.
