Cubicle tracks and IPS panels

IPS (integrated plumbing system) panels are the demountable wall sections used in clinical washrooms and treatment rooms. Where a cubicle track runs along or around an IPS wall, two things matter: the track fixing and panel access.

Fixing through IPS

Don’t fix the track to the IPS panel itself — the panel needs to come off for service. Carry the fixing through to the structural wall behind, using a stand-off bracket sized to the panel depth.

Panel access

Plan the track so curtains can be drawn fully clear of any service panel that needs regular access. Lift-off curtains help here — they come down in seconds for a plumber’s call-out without affecting the track.

Common in

  • Bedded en-suites (curtain at the WC).
  • Treatment cubicles with integrated handwash and gas outlets.
  • Day-case bays with under-counter services.

Our installers handle IPS interfaces routinely. If you’re self-installing, send us the IPS specification with your quote request and we’ll provide a setting-out drawing.
